Privacy Policy

This is a translation of the German privacy policy for convenience. The legally binding version is the German one. In case of conflict, the German Datenschutzerklärung prevails.

We take the protection of your personal data seriously. This privacy policy informs you in accordance with Art. 13 GDPR about the processing of personal data when visiting this website.

Each time this website is accessed, our hosting provider automatically records technical information transmitted by your browser to our server, including:

• IP address (processed in shortened form)
• Date and time of the request
• URL accessed and HTTP status
• Amount of data transferred
• Referrer URL and user agent (browser, operating system)

Purpose: Provision of the website, technical reliability, protection against attacks.
Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest).
Storage period: Logs are automatically deleted after no more than 14 days.

3. Local storage in your browser

When you mark favourites or change filter / sort settings, the following values are stored in your browser's local storage:

• ep-favorites: list of attraction IDs you have favourited
• ep-prefs: your filter and sort preferences
• ep-lang: your manually chosen language (if different from your browser language)

These values stay exclusively on your device and are never transmitted to our servers or third parties. You may delete them at any time via your browser settings.

Legal basis: § 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG — storage is strictly necessary to provide the function you have explicitly requested (favourites, persistent settings).

4. External data sources

The following data is fetched by our server from external providers and served through a cache proxy on our own domain:

• queue-times.com — live wait times (primary source, every 30 seconds)
• wartezeiten.app — park status (maintenance, opening hours, show schedule, historical trends). Structured data is licensed under Creative Commons BY 4.0. We use it with proper attribution and a link back.
• api.open-meteo.com — weather data for Rust (Open-Meteo, EU-hosted, free and key-less)

Important: When you visit this website, no direct connections are established between your browser and these third-party providers. All requests are made exclusively from our server to the external providers. Your IP address and other personal data are therefore not transmitted to those providers.

5. Cookies

This website does not set any cookies.

6. Web analytics (Umami Analytics)

We use Umami Analytics for cookieless, anonymised web analytics. The tracking server is self-hosted at umami.molotow-web.com, operated by Mittwald CM Service GmbH & Co. KG (Königsberger Straße 4 – 6, 32339 Espelkamp, Germany). All data processing happens within the EU.

Only anonymous aggregate values are recorded: pages visited, referrer, browser and device class, approximate region (country level). We set no cookies, build no browser fingerprints and store no IP addresses. Repeat visits are detected via an anonymous hash derived from the user agent and a daily-rotating salt — not traceable to an individual.

Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in data-minimising analytics). Since no personal identifiers are stored, § 25 TDDDG does not apply — no cookie banner or consent is required.
Retention: aggregated stats are kept for 24 months; individual hit records significantly shorter.

7. Your rights

You have the right at any time to:

• access the personal data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR)
• have inaccurate data corrected (Art. 16 GDPR)
• have your data deleted (Art. 17 GDPR)
• restrict processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
• data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
• object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR)
